Palace Needle, also known as Ocean Needle from Hubei Province (The Province of a Thousand Lakes), China. The leaves are harvested in the middle of April (only the finest leaves and buds are plucked) and are then steamed over a moderate heat which helps to retain the colour and flavour. The needle shaped leaf, in beautiful shades of green yields a pale yellow liquor with fresh, light, vegetal notes.
